In 2 Timothy 3:16-17, the Apostle Paul writes to a young preacher to remind him of the perfect value of the Bible for ministry and life.  He states, "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work." (NIV).  What equips the preacher is the same thing that equips all followers of Christ, the Bible, God's perfect, authoritative, objective, inspired guide for what we believe and how we live.
