At Living Hope, we believe that Missions is the heartbeat of our Body. We strive to meet needs and share Christ here in our community and all around the world. Local, national, and worldwide mission needs and causes are all emphesized at Living Hope. We believe that all believers are called to be involved with missions, whether it be through GOING, GIVING, PRAYING, or ADVOCATING, and we offer many real-life opportunities to meet needs and share Christ amongst our neighbors and to the ends of the earth.

Local (Community and College) Organizations:

• Save Our Streets (SOS) Ministries: SOS Ministries, which began in 1993 in an effort to combat the escalating gang tension in Byan/College Station at that time, partners with approximately 300 volunteers and over 75 churches to take the love of Jesus Christ to the streets. • Hope Pregnancy: Hope Pregnancy Center of Brazos Valley provides support, services, and information to pregnant women in the Bryan/College Station area. Call 979-695-9193 for more information and/or to find out about volunteer opportunities.

• Emmanuel Lighthouse Mission: A ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bryan, Emmanuel Lighthouse Mission provides transitional housing and Christian discipleship and mentoring in a structured drug- and alcohol-free environment to needy women in the community. For more info, call 979-822-0441.
• Pioneers: Also a ministry of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Bryan, Pioneers ministers to the children and youth of Bryan through the Pioneers Friday Church. Hosted at EBC and staffed with college students from area churches, the program provides bible study, songs, recreation, and crafts. • Breakaway: Breakaway is a non-denominational, weekly Bible study on the campus of TAMU. • Baptist Student Ministry: Texas A&M BSM strives to provide opportunities of growth, fellowship, and leadership for students in their walk with Christ through discipleship, mission trips, service to the campus and community, and general times of fellowship and fun. International Organizations:

• Word of Life in Nicaragua: Word of Life is focused on reaching young people around the world with the gospel of Christ, through camps, conferences, bible clubs, sports marathons, discipleship, and evangelistic teams. Living Hope supports missionaries Jader and Julie Arguello in Nicaragua. • Gospel for Asia: Based in Carrolton, Texas, the primary aim of Gospel for Asia is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ with those who have never before heard His name. GFA trains and sends national missionaries to the most unreached areas and populations. • Samaritan's Purse—Operation Christmas Child: Samaritan's Purse, a nondenominational evangelical Christian organization, provides worldwide spiritual and physical aid to victims of war, poverty, natural disasters, and famine with the purpose of sharing God's love through His Son, Jesus Christ. Operation Christmas Child demonstrates God's love in a tangible way to needy children around the world by collecting and distributing shoe boxes filled with gifts at Christmas time. • Frontiers: Frontiers is an international movement of nearly a thousand workers from dozens of countries in North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe whose focus is on loving Muslims and, with love and respect, inviting all Muslim people to follow Jesus.
